In early September I traveled to Maine to attend Kristen & Ian's cottage chic wedding on Peak's Island off the coast. It was a beautiful Maine inspired wedding that even a downpour at the time of the ceremony could not ruin. The island itself was a unique place and perfect setting for seaside nuptials. After meeting in college and seven years of being together the two tied the knot surrounded by friends, family, lobsters, and the beautiful coastal main scenery.
This wedding season I decided to incorporate new custom wooden boxes for delivering all the photo goodies to brides and grooms in. Well, they've been a hit, and I am going to keep them around. They are simple and beautiful with an easy slide off lid that comes printed with a wedding day image on the top. They come filled with proofs, a thumb drive, and thank-you cards, but can be used for storing wedding day keepsakes or keeping on the coffee table. So pretty!
In June I attended Dan & Whitney's elegant coral and mint colored wedding in Western New York. The day began at Whitney's family home and ended at the Fox Valley Country Club. It was a smooth day filled with lots of smiles, friends, and family. We had beautiful weather and scenery and plenty of time for lots of photos. Enjoy!
A few weekends ago, I photographed Kimi & Ben in the hidden wilderness of Jersey City's Liberty State Park. It reminds me of Central Park, this beautiful expansive wildness surrounded by an urban metropolis, and a perfect location to hideaway and take some photos. We spent some time deep in the park dodging mosquitos and then headed over to the Hudson waterfront to view the NYC skyline. It was a quiet evening and a pleasure to see these two together. After six plus years they tie the knot next month!
So it begins...busy season, and what a lovely way to start with a beautiful couple at the Brooklyn Botanical Garden and working with Lyn Hughes. It could not have been a nicer day or more perfect timing for the blue bells to be in bloom. The Botanical Gardens are one of my favorite venues and the images from around the grounds are always stunning. It was a great day to kick off the season.
Kristen & Ian’s winter engagement session, complete with 115lb Seamus the Malamute.
I am lucky to have known the Crisman family for over 10 years now and even luckier to have been invited several times on the Crisman Clan ski weekends in Vermont, where I first met both Ian and Kristen. So, when they said they wanted a winter themed engagement session it all made perfect sense. The session took place in the woods of northern NJ and near Ian’s childhood home. After spending a few hours outside in the cold with absolutely no complaints I can definitely say the three of them have a special love of the outdoors and snow.

Kelly & Carlos are getting married!
To go along with their upbeat, artsy, and unconventional tastes we had a little non-traditional engagement session. There was alcohol, ASAP Rocky, and lots of laughs. I am so happy for these two and look forward to the wedding this spring.
Here’s a preview of Stacey and Brian’s Brooklyn wedding celebration this past weekend at the Wythe Hotel!
Here’s a few from Kristen & Kyle’s engagement photos in Vinegar Hill Brooklyn.
Here’s a preview of Chris & Jenna’s barn wedding earlier this month! It was a beautiful, hot (and I mean very hot) upstate New York summer day. Their wedding was a beautiful vintage inspired barn wedding where every detail was planned and worked together seamlessly. One of my favorite weddings!
